The Manifestation of God's Sons (and daughters)

We are everywhere!  God’s people, his called out (ecclesia)–the Church (not buildings), his elect (elected by Him), his chosen ones: his sons and daughters. God’s family represents Him and the authority of his invisible Kingdom. It is sometimes in words, but mostly in actions or just “being”: letting the life of God resonate out through our bodies and souls to a needy humanity.

Words came from Paul (Romans 8:19), where he spoke of creation awaiting the manifestation of the sons of God. It wasn’t repeated as such in other works of his, but it was a message of hope. The Greek (apokalypsin) speaks of “a revelation”, a revealing.  While a whole movement has been created around this scripture, I see it as meaning simply that the creation desperately needed then and will continue to need God’s works of healing and deliverance through God’s family of sons.  Paul was the first to speak of it, for Paul was a Son. The message was FOR Paul’s day in a very real sense and was not about a “happening” off in the future. The hope was there for them THEN. And it is here for us NOW.

God’s eternal NOW (his existence in all realms, in past, present and future--at the same time) keeps his Kingdom constantly on the increase. (Luke 1:33) His restoration is Now. His salvation working through time, down through the Ages, in links that bind and strengthen his spiritual power (love) in the soul of mankind is ongoing. We are waiting for nothing! It has always been here and is on the increase. I have been a part of it, and so have others. Some have been “manifesting” without knowing what it was. But others HAVE seen the truth and embraced it.

God is constantly working covertly and non-sensationally. There is no more of the "man or woman of the hour”. No religion will "rise again".  But those being drawn or awakened will know God is behind the changes “manifesting” as a result of the Kingdom moving forward (upward and outward). Yes, the Christ is arising inwardly and upwardly, and no one can hinder it. Those lacking insight or faith will not stall this out. God never fails!

That being said, I must make mention of Jesse, who had 8 sons, and 1 was chosen as King: David. Only 1 was chosen, yet his other sons were still sons, and they had their own place in their family. Even now, God has sons in his family. Their purposes are specific, their walks ordered, and none are an assembly line experience.
But... not everyone called is a son. There are daughters in the family also. A male AND a female are needed to produce life. Jesus was God’s son, and he has other sons, but he also has daughters. Jesus has a bride: the Church, and her gender is female. (This is a mystery: the Body of Christ and the Church, male and female.) I am witness to at least one daughter who has been enlivened for the work at hand. She knows she was not called as a son. What is the work? Revealing the King and the Kingdom through themselves, through their everyday lives, as God uses them to reside in, just like sons. All are vessels for the Master Potter. (And spiritual callings are not about natural gender. God’s sons can be physically female, and God’s daughters can be physically male. Gal 3:28)
 
Using myself for an example, there are many ways to let the sovereignty of God manifest through my life. I don’t have to talk about God, and almost never do. I just BE. I can give a few examples:

As I walk by a magazine section in the grocery store, I am drawn to a person shown on the cover, in a dire situation. The passion of Jesus rises up in me and I become a priest to that person. I touch the magazine and speak peace and deliverance to them. It is not lip service, and is enlivened by the Holy Spirit.

I am working as a cashier and persons pass me or come through my check out lane. I rest in knowing that God’s presence is extended to them in whatever way it is needed. As I go about my life, I forget about what the reality is, but God is using my body all the same! Sometimes persons are stirred up. Sometimes they are angry. Sometimes they feel peace and comfort (warmed by the fire). They are approaching the throne of God and don’t even know it!

I am watching a baseball game and can feel the stress and grief of a pitcher who has brought his team to a losing position of a very important game. (This is real life to him and just as important as incidents in our own.) Millions of people are watching him, judging him, cursing him. He is in the fire. God’s love for him overtakes me and I am moved with compassion. I touch the television screen and speak peace to him. I speak to his team concerning his position. I speak a hedge of protection around his heart and soul that the hatred aimed at him will not prosper.

We can change our world by speaking out to the corporate soul of mankind. We don’t have to see the person or persons. As we are shown by God, moment-to-moment of His will for a situation, we speak it out. And God has our back. The words will not return void. I have been manifesting God’s love for years to persons, businesses, leaders, and nations this way. I pray (speak) for his light to overtake the darkness, I pray for his righteousness (fairness and equity) to dominate, I pray for quick correction, I pray for His justice and judgment to come forth to correct what is wrong.  I have been living this way, and I am not alone. It’s all part of His restoration of creation.

Those who believe they are called of God, yet are awaiting something outwardly spectacular for the whole world to see, have missed the bus. It is not a welcome message for them, because their belief in a sensational (if you will) “manifestation” closes their eyes and ears to even considering they are mistaken. Maybe the person reading this feels that way. But we must understand that God’s secretive workings have been powerful, as he uses whom he pleases to heal the soul.  I can attest to the fact that he has continued to cause manifestations secretly and with great humility, with or without the approval of anyone!
